Watch this talk by Paul Stamets to learn about how mushrooms are saving the world. From their immunity building properties to their potential to ensuring a healthy planet, mushrooms are medicinal on many levels.
Stamets shares with us an unforgettable story about how his 83 year old mother used Turkey Tail mushrooms to support her through her cancer treatment. After a diagnosis of 3 months to live, she took part in a Turkey Tail mushroom study. Paired with her cancer drugs, Turkey Tail seemed to support her immune system and help fight the cancer. Defying the doctors’ prognosis, Stamets’ mom made it through to the five-year cancer free mark.
“The majority of modern medicines originate in nature. Although some mushrooms have been used in therapies for thousands of years, we are still discovering new potential medicines hidden within them.”
Our immersions center around advanced mushrooms containing psilocybin. Psilocybin is a psychoactive compound being investigated by scientific academia for its potential to restructure brain cells and heal trauma, disorders and illness.
